"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
- Maya Angelou
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon was conceived by two unlikely characters from different corners of the world brought together by their mutual love and appreciation for beautiful things, timeless design, a good bottle of red wine, a game of Kniffel, and a wicked sense of humour. While our journey will be about you... here's just a bit about us.

ULRIKE KABYL
I love architecture and beautiful design, travel and good food. For many years I have been involved in the design world, but for the past several years I have been pursuing my passion as an interior designer, realising many projects from Berlin, to Norderney and recently Puglia - a place I fell in love with while traveling through southern Italy.
Redefining spaces, designing them effectively and giving people a special place they can truly enjoy, for me, is the most beautiful job in the world. When inspiration, ideas and planning all come together to form reality, that moment is truly something magical.

In terms of my personal design style, I love an eclectic "mix and match" look. Combining different styles, materials, and colors, paired with contemporary furniture along with some expressive elements - this is my specialty. Bringing all of this together creates a home with tons of character and a surprising, individual look.
MEET
BRANTON MOORE
Once I realised that I found nothing in life more enjoyable than rummaging through a forgotten corner of an antique store, then it was clear the time had come for me to take my passion for beautiful things and creating warm and inviting spaces to the next level.

While my background is in architecture, the business world and corporate real estate, my personal design style is an amalgamation of inspiration acquired from the various places I have called home throughout the world - from the forgone grandeur of the Mississippi Delta, to the vibrant colours and culture of Mexico, to the stately sophistication of Britain, to the pure and practical elegance of Germany.

I strongly believe that our spaces should represent our character and reflect who we are. Our possessions are our treasures, each carefully curated to tell the story of our life.

I am committed to developing a deep understanding of our clients, and incorporating the things they value the most in order to craft a uniquely, personal and cherished space.
